DeVergilio sent down to Idaho Steelheads

The Stars have sent forward Kevin DeVergilio down to the Idaho Steelheads. He played one game during this stint in Austin and was a healthy scratch for two others. He did not record any statistics in the game he played, where he skated on a line with Luke Gazdic and Tyler Shelast. Here's the release:
The Texas Stars announced on Wednesday that forward Kevin DeVergilio has been assigned to the Idaho Steelheads, Texas’ ECHL affiliate.

DeVergilio returns to Idaho where he scored nine goals on 41 shot attempts. The Sterling Heights, Michigan native added seven assists and totaled 16 points in 17 games with the Steelheads.

DeVergilio played in one game during his latest stint with the team. In all, he has played in nine games for Texas this season, recording one assist, 12 penalty minutes and a -2 plus/minus rating. The 23-year old forward is in his rookie season after a four-year career at St. Lawrence University from 2005 to 2009. DeVergilio recorded 113 points in 143 NCAA games for the Saints.
