Texas Stars recall Michael Neal from Steelheads

It doesn't look like the Texas Stars have sent any transactions to the AHL lately. Either that or the webmaster is being lazy because neither this move nor the Peters move have shown up on TheAHL.com.

With Peters being called up, the Stars have recalled LW Michael Neal from the Steelheads to join the team in Abbotsford. Neal's stats are below, but it's interesting note to that he is the younger brother of current Dallas Stars F James Neal. This is one of two such pairings in the Stars system, the other being F Jamie Benn of the Dallas Stars and brother D Jordie Benn of the Allen Americans. Press release below:
The Texas Stars announced on Friday that left wing Michael Neal has been recalled from the Idaho Steelheads of the ECHL - Texas’ primary “AA” affiliate.
Neal returns to Texas after playing in 32 games with the Idaho Steelheads. Neal scored four goals and added seven assists for 11 points. The 20-year old Neal played in three games for Texas in October, going scoreless with a -2 rating. Neal was drafted by Dallas in the fifth round (#149 overall) of the 2007 NHL Entry Draft. The Whitby, ON native is the younger brother of current Dallas Stars forward James Neal.
