Let's try this again, shall we? The Texas Stars and the Peoria Rivermen faceoff again tonight at the CPC in what has turned into a strange series. The Stars just can't seem to put one over on the Rivermen aside from the shootout win earlier this week. The Stars are 1-2-1-0 against the Rivermen despite holding the superior record.

The Stars need to clean up their passing game big time tonight. Last night was a haphazard affair for the Stars and they would do well to make certain they are completing solid tape-to-tape passes. Many of the 'area' passes they were attempting last night ended up in the hands of the Rivermen and came right back down their throat. No good.

Also, given the chasing of goalie Matt Climie last night, the Stars need to have a good start in net. Allowing 4 goals on 8 shots is not the way to start a hockey game. If we can get out of the first period with 1 goal or less against, that's a recipe for a good start. We had been doing that over our earlier win streak and we need to get back to it.

Mostly the same things as last night otherwise. Let's just hope for a better outcome tonight.

Stars injury/call up report:
Wilson (stomach strain), Krahn (lower body)
Peters (call up)
