Sawada earns second callup to Dallas

Ray Sawada gets just his second callup of the year today. The Dallas Stars had just 12 forwards last night (no forward scratches) so it looks like they want some insurance. Dallas is in action again tomorrow night against Columbus.
The Dallas Stars announced today that the club has recalled right wing Raymond Sawada from the Texas Stars, Dallas’ primary minor league affiliate in the American Hockey League (AHL).

Sawada, 24, has dressed in four games for the Stars this season, recording two shots and a +1 rating. The Richmond, British Columbia native has skated in 35 games for the Texas Stars this season, collecting two goals and six assists. Sawada scored 76 points (31g, 45a) over 137 games during four years at Cornell University. He was Dallas’ second round selection (52nd overall) in the 2004 NHL Entry Draft.
