Wathier back to Texas, Bachman called up, Neal sent down

Flurry of roster moves today for the Stars. As was expected, since the Dallas Stars are now on the two-week Olympic break, Francis Wathier has been assigned back to Texas. Additionally, the Texas Stars have released Chris Whitley from his professional try-out backing up Todd Ford. They have recalled Richard Bachman from the ECHL, who has appeared in 2 games for Texas this season. Bachman is an All-Star in Idaho with a 14-5-0-3 record and a 2.31 GAA and .909 SV%. Michael Neal was also assigned to Idaho today. Here's the release for the Wathier move:
The Dallas Stars announced today that the NHL club has assigned left wing Francis Wathier to the Texas Stars - Dallas’ primary development affiliate in the American Hockey League (AHL).

Wathier, 25, was recalled on Monday and appeared in all three games for Dallas on the week, going scoreless. He made his NHL debut earlier this season with Dallas and has dressed in five total games for the club in 2009-10, accruing five penalty minutes and four shots. He has spent the majority of this season with the Texas Stars, where he has played in 50 games, recording 23 points (11g, 12a) and 76 PIM. The 6-4, 208-pound left wing was Dallas’ sixth round selection (185th overall) at the 2003 NHL Entry Draft

  1. So... I'm not too sure how I feel about there being 7 goalies between us & Dallas. Are we planning for Climie to still be sick on Tuesday's Hamilton game?

  2. It's almost like someone is trying to start a goalie collection, isn't it? Not that I could blame them, I'd collect goalies myself if I could ;)
