Peters suspended one game

Stars center Warren Peters has been suspended for tonight's playoff game against Chicago due to his actions in Game 4. Peters drew a five minute major boarding penalty and a game-misconduct for hitting Spencer Machacek in the 2nd period of the game on Wednesday. Peters line with Wathier and Sawada, which had been pretty effective in the playoffs, will be broken up tonight. Also, Peters is great of the faceoff dots and Texas will be without his services tonight. Peters was suspended under the provisions of AHL Rule 29.1 (supplementary discipline). Expect Korostin in the lineup to replace him.

  2. For the record, the AHL President decides suspensions. But regardless of that, Chicago isn't happy with the officiating in the series either: Chicago Call of the Wild blog

  3. This is an outrage. Peters took the major and the misconduct. That should have been enough.

  4. Good to know that the Chicago fans aren't any happier with the officiating. They have not done a good job watching play away from the puck or after the whistle, and the things they have called have been inconsistent.

Hopefully we will have a new crew in town tonight.

  5. The good news is, no Failharski tonight.
