Dallas Calls Up Philip Larsen, Texas Recalls Monast

The Texas Stars will be down one on defense tonight in Rockford as Dallas has recalled Philip Larsen. Larsen's callup was necessary after Stephane Robidas was suspended by the league for getting a second game misconduct in the same category within 41 games.

This makes Texas's situation interesting. With Philip Larsen out and Severin Blindenbacher still on the mend from his minor car accident, does this mean Jordie Benn will play tonight for the Stars?

UPDATE: Texas has recalled Guillaume Monast from Idaho as well. Monast is 0-1-1 with 6 PIMS in 4 games with Idaho.

  1. I like Larsen, but I'm surprised it wasn't Spang...he's quickly becoming my favorite newbie.

Good luck to Larsen on his call-up, and whoever takes his spot with us tonight!
