Tom Wandell Assigned to Texas for Conditioning

Wandell has been bothered by a shoulder injury this preseason, and Dallas decided he'd be better off taking a conditioning stint in Texas. He's expected to play in tomorrow's game against Houston. Here's the release from Dallas:
The Dallas Stars announced today that the club has assigned center Tom Wandell to the Texas Stars of the American Hockey League (AHL) for conditioning. He is scheduled to play in Sunday's pre-season game at Cedar Park Center when Texas hosts the Houston Aeros (5:00 pm CT).

Wandell, 23, has not appeared in a Dallas Stars pre-season game this year due to a shoulder injury. He appeared in 50 games for Dallas last season, scoring 5 goals and 10 assists for 15 points. Wandell's season was cut shot with a torn ACL injury on Jan. 21 at Vancouver.

Wandell was Dallas' fifth round selection (146th overall) in the 2005 NHL Entry Draft.
