Texas and Milwaukee face off for the first time on the 2010-11 season in Cedar Park this evening. These two playoff teams from a year ago will face each other six times this season. Texas got the better of the Admirals in last year's series completing a 5-3-0 record against the Ads.

The Admirals will be coming from San Antonio last night where they skated to a shootout loss against the Rampage. Overall, Milwaukee is doing very well with the #2 ranking in division. They're acheiving such high heights on the backs of two very steady goaltenders. Mark Dekanich sports a 1.60 GAA and a .945 SV% in 12 games with an 8-1-1 record to boot. Dex's backup Jeremy Smith has only appeared in one game and won it. Chet Pickard, a highly touted pick, has been assigned to Cincinnati of the ECHL.

On the offensive side, the Admirals are getting it done as well. Left winger Linus Klasen is averaging a point a game with 8-6-14 in 14 games of work. Other strong threats include RWs Matt Halischuk (6-5-11) and Andreas Thuresson (3-8-11). Some of your more familiar faces from last year have now departed to other teams including Mike Santorelli (Florida Panthers), Hugh Jessiman (Rockford), captain Nolan Yonkman (San Antonio) and the unforgettably named Wacey Rabbit (Europe).

The Ads rank middle of the road on road PP and PK. Predictably, they are #1 in the league in goals against with a 2.13 rating. Texas, for comparison, is #16 at 2.79.
