The Stars are in a funk. In the last ten games, Texas is 2-4-1-3, and they are on a three game losing streak coming into tonight's game. The last time Texas played Toronto, the Stars were also on a three game losing streak. James Reimer, now starting for the Maple Leafs, backstopped the Marlies to a 3-0 victory, setting the losing streak at a franchise record four (since surpasses in February at five).

After the game, team captain Brad Lukowich called a closed-door, players only meeting. The postgame interview sounds like it could have just happened. The same themes that were true on November 6th are true today: more offense, shoot more, better power play. The Stars have scored three goals in their last three games. Texas is two for sixteen on the power play in those games. Something has to change.

Toronto comes in after losing to Lake Erie last night. However, they are 5-3-1-1 in their last ten. The Marlies are in a heated battle with Abbotsford for the third spot in the North, the last guaranteed spot for the postseason. Former Texas Star Fabian Brunnstrom has 10 points in 27 games with the Marlies since being traded.
