Lukowich Suspended One Game By AHL

Credit: Texas Stars
The AHL announced today that Stars captain Brad Lukowich has been suspended for one game due to his actions in the Friday night game against San Antonio. The only item I can see on the game sheet that points to a suspension was a minor penalty Lukowich took for boarding. It is also possible that the “play” was not a play at all and involved verbal abuse of an official at ice level, something that Lukowich has done in prior games as we've all seen on the video board.

Release:
San Antonio Rampage defenseman Maxim Goncharov and Texas Stars defenseman Brad Lukowich have been suspended for one (1) game each as a result of their actions in a game between the teams on Mar. 4. Both players were suspended under the provisions of AHL Rule 28.1 (supplementary discipline).

Goncharov will miss San Antonio’s game on Thursday (Mar. 10) vs. Oklahoma City. Lukowich will miss Texas’s game on Friday (Mar. 11) at Syracuse.
