In an email sent out to league members over the weekend, the Chaparral Ice has announced that the sale of the rink has been delayed by one month. The original closing date of December 1st was quickly approaching, and the buyer has requested an extension, according to the email.
After that point, likely the end of the year now, all games in Austin will move to the Northcross Mall location of Chaparral Ice. In addition, leagues have also formed to play at the Cedar Park Center on nights when the ice is unoccupied by the Stars or special events.
