As per usual, today's will be a shortened gameday preview for the second game of a back-to-back against the same team. Texas faces off again tonight against the Abbotsford Heat, who proved last night that they are a real force in the West Division.

Last night's game was mostly about a breakdown of discipline listening to Coach Pyle's postgame comments. "They've got to have more discipline," said Coach Pyle. Texas isn't planning on really changing anything. Why should they? The first two periods were tight and physical hockey where the Stars took advantage of the power play opportunities given to them, which were numerous. Abbotsford is 7th in the league with 19.62 PIMs per game. They have given their past two opponents a total of 16 power play opportunities. Texas has to use their dominant power play to take charge in tonight's game.

"We're not going to change anything," said Pyle. "They're playing their third game in three nights so we have to take advantage of that."

Overall, Texas knows that points are just as important in November as they will be in March and April. "We've given away points early in the season that we haven't wanted to give away."

Stars injury/call up report:
I would expect Philip Larsen to get a callup with the Golisgoski injury, and Jace Coyle could see his first game action since last Thursday against Toronto.
