v.Houston Aeros

#5 Western Conference
November 19th at 7:00 PM
Cedar Park Center, Cedar Park, TX

As per usual, a shorter preview for a back-to-back with the same team.
The Stars got what they needed in Houston. Now it's time for them to do the same here in Cedar Park.

Last night's game was a view of what this team is looking to become, really what any team is looking to become: efficient on the power play, stingy on the PK, infrequently penalized and getting shots on net. Texas would do well to try for the full two points in regulation this time. As the Dallas Stars saw last season, even one point can make the difference between playoffs and a long, reflective summer.

That's not to say that Texas gave away a point last night; they stole one from Houston. If given the opportunity, like last Friday's game against Abbotsford, Texas needs to "finish him". Don't allow a talent team like Houston to even get one, because the momentum builds and is suddenly hard to overcome. A 2-0 lead evaporates to 2-2 and then a shootout loss. Those are character building losses and the hope is that Texas learned from last week's.
