Stars Prospects Push Past Wild on Chiasson Shootout Goal

Alex Chiasson had the game-winner in the shootout and assisted on the game-tying tally in regulation to push the Stars past the Minnesota Wild prospects by a 2-1 score this afternoon in Traverse City. Top draft pick Valeri Nichushkin scored the Stars' lone goal of regulation time, assisted by Chiasson and Patrik Nemeth. Maxime Lagace got the start in net and stopped 27 of 28.

The Stars will finish out the tournament as either the 2nd or 3rd seed from the Howe Division, depending on tonight's results in the St. Louis/Detroit game. They will play on Monday against an opponent still to be determined at either 3 PM or 6 PM Central time.
