Dallas Assigns Chris Mueller, Keeps Colton Sceviour

After recalling both Chris Mueller and Colton Sceviour yesterday to play in last night's game in St. Louis, today Dallas returns just one of those two. Chris Mueller is on his way back to the Cedar Park Center for tonight's game against the Charlotte Checkers. Colton Sceviour, who scored Dallas' first goal last night on the power play, will remain in the NHL for the foreseeable future to fill the roster gap left by Rich Peverley's departure.

With this move, I would guess lines roll something like this:
McKenzie-Morin-Mueller
Hedden-Dowling-Ritchie
Ranford-Jeffrey-Glennie
Henderson-Peters-Stransky
Here's the release:
The Texas Stars, proud American Hockey League affiliate of the Dallas Stars, announced today that Dallas has returned center Chris Mueller on loan to Texas.

Mueller, 28, was recalled by Dallas on March 11th and registered two shots on goal and won three-of-five faceoffs (60.0%) at St. Louis. He is fourth on Texas with 53 points (24 goals, 29 assists) in 57 games played and is tied for the AHL lead with 14 power play goals. The 5-foot-11, 210-pound native of West Seneca, New York was signed by Dallas as a free agent on July 8, 2013.

  1. Peverly is out the rest of the season, so I expect that they'll keep Sceviour until they are out of the playoffs, at least, and maybe not even then. He finally made it!!!!
