After Sunday's 7-1 win, the Texas Stars have advanced to play the Toronto Marlies in the conference finals. Toronto is the winner of the North Division and a #3 seed in the West. Texas, having won the league points trophy, has home ice advantage. Game 1 will be on Friday.

Here is the full schedule:
2014 Western Conference Finals – Texas vs. Toronto

Game 1 – Friday, May 23rd – 7:30 p.m. vs. Toronto
Game 2 – Monday, May 26th – 7:30 p.m. vs. Toronto
Game 3 – Wednesday, May 28th – 6:00 p.m. at Toronto
Game 4 – Thursday, May 29th – 6:00 p.m. at Toronto
Game 5 ** – Saturday, May 31st – 2:00 p.m. at Toronto
Game 6 ** – Monday, June 2nd – 7:30 p.m. vs. Toronto
Game 7 ** – Tuesday, June 3rd – 7:30 p.m. vs. Toronto

** If necessary
Note that Game 1 was originally supposed to be a night for Disney on Ice. It is unclear if Texas will be able to use the jumbotron for the game due to setup conflicts with the Disney On Ice event, which will still be happening Thursday and Saturday.

A previous version of this story incorrectly stated that the Texas Stars had to buy out Friday's performance of Disney on Ice. This was incorrect, and 100 Degree Hockey regrets the error.

  1. I don't get it...why won't they be able to use the Jumbo-tron?

    1. The Jumbotron will be retracted into the rafters. That's what Disney On Ice needs for their setup, for whatever reason.

  2. I can only assume that they are removing the jumbotron for the Disney show and it will not be re-installed for the hockey game?

  3. This seems ridiculous. It's not a preseason game, it's the Western Conference Finals! They need to figure out a way to have the jumbotron in use unless they have some other grand plan to keep the fans informed of what's going on with clocks, replays, etc.

  4. It literally takes all of a few minutes to retract or detract the scoreboard from the rafters

  5. Maybe Disney on Ice has some special equipment they have to hang from the rafters and it will interfere with the jumbotron. I'm guessing special lighting and high-tension wires for aerial stunts.
As far as keeping the audience informed, that will be interesting to see what they come up with. I'm sure they have a solution. It would have been poor form to buy out the CPC for the night and not have a game plan.

    1. The buy out was incorrect. The jumbotron situation is undetermined right now.
