Dallas Returns Jyrki Jokipakka

Following the return of Sergei Gonchar to good health, the Dallas Stars have returned Jyrki Jokipakka to the Texas Stars. Jokipakka got into three games in Dallas with no points and a minus-3 rating. He should be active for Wednesday's game against Toronto.

Here's the release:
The Texas Stars, American Hockey League affiliate of the NHL’s Dallas Stars, announced today defenseman Jyrki Jokipakka has been reassigned the team after being called up to Dallas on Oct. 19.

The 23-year-old Jokipakka (YIHR-kee YOH-kee-PAH-kuh) made his NHL debut for Dallas on Oct. 24 against the Philadelphia Flyers.

This season in the AHL, the 6-foor-3, 210-pound blueliner has appeared in three games and scored the game-winning power play goal for Texas on Oct. 17 against the Oklahoma City Barons. Last year, he amassed 21 points (five goals, 16 assists) in 68 AHL games for Texas.

Jokipakka was a seventh-round draft pick (195th overall) of the Dallas Stars in 2011.
