Another matinee game at the Ricoh Coliseum will end the season series with the Toronto Marlies. The Stars have yet to come away from a game against the Marlies without at least one point this season. Their only loss was in overtime at the Cedar Park Center on January 10th.

The leading scorer for Texas against the Marlies won't be around for the game. Brendan Ranford has 3-3=6 in three games. It's expected he will stay with Dallas through their coming road trip.

The Marlies are known for a heavy style. Luckily both teams are coming off games in upstate New York last night that forced them to travel overnight Friday evening. Toronto lost to Utica last night 5-2, the same score by which Texas beat Rochester.

A few things to watch: the performance of Jussi Rynnas, who will likely get the start after playing last night; the performance of Patrik Nemeth, who is playing in only his second game back after injury in October; continued hot streaks for Derek Hulak and Greg Rallo and how the Marlies will target those players to shut them down.

Stars injury/call up report:
Jokipakka, McKenzie, Ritchie, Ranford (call up)
Fortunus, Faksa (injury)

  1. Playing a little shorthanded on the trip but 8 out 10 points so far is not too shabby. Two more in OKC and home for seven. Time for the playoff run is here! Go Stars!
