Every Thursday, 100 Degree Hockey will name the Lone Star Grille/100 Degree Hockey Player of the Week. Lone Star Grille features classic comfort food and Southern dishes less than five minutes from the Cedar Park Center. If you mention the Player of the Week or 100 Degree Hockey on your next visit to Lone Star Grille, your server will take $5 off your order of any two entrees.

If you'd said three weeks ago that Jack Campbell would be the Stars' player of the week, I'm not sure I would have beleived you. Campbell came into this weekend's games with a 3-11-5 record, 3.47 GAA and .888 SV%. Not exactly All-Star calibre.

However, on Sunday, Jack picked up his first AHL win since December with a solid 36 save performance against a tough Milwaukee team. What really earned him the honor was Tuesday night's effort against Lake Erie.

With Jussi Rynnas injured, Campbell stepped into a 1-1 game and took the Stars to a shootout win with 35 saves on 36 shots and 4 of four in the shootout. He played confidently, He played aggressively. Campbell was Campbell, prototypically. He collected wins in back-to-back games for the first time since April 2013. In the two games, he had a .959 SV%.

With the confidence boost, Campbell now looks to hit the road tonight in Chicago as 'the man' in net.
