The draft is this weekend, then free agency, then the doldrums. Soak up hockey while you can.

Here are some things you might have missed...
  • The Milwaukee Admirals (now the only Admirals in the AHL) could be without their building soon, forcing them to play games at the local college arena. The Bucks are looking to build a new arena and the Ads are not in the plans. [JS Online]
  • The Syracuse Crunch and the Utica Comets will play preseason games in France this coming year. The Crunch will host their entire training camp in Lyon as part of a continuing partnership with the French city to grow hockey in the area. [Crunch]
  • The USHL announced changes to overtime yesterday which mirror the 2014-15 AHL rules. Their hope is to eliminate the dry scrape after regulation, but that is not for sure right now. [USHL]
  • This one's from last week, but just in case you didn't see it, Todd Nelson, formerly of the Barons, is the new head coach of the Grand Rapids Griffins. [MLive]
  • Support Marty's Men at the Chaparral Ice Jamboree this weekend. [Texas Stars]
