A quick trip to Milwaukee turned up no luck for the Stars this afternoon as they fell 5-2 to the Admirals. The Stars hung in it through the first half of the game, trading goals with the Ads up to 2-2. Joe Pendenza netted a shorthanded goal that broke the back of the Stars and was the ultimate game winner. The Ads added two goals in the third to set the final.

Despite the loss, Devin Shore extended his point streak to nine games. Jack Campbell took the loss with 18 saves on 23 shots.

Jason Dickinson and Derek Hulak returned to the Stars lineup. Brett Ritchie, who was assigned yesterday, did not suit up.

  1. Team play has changed from training camp through today. I know there are tough management decisions to be made; however, it is concerning to watch what is going on in our AHL level games. Steve you and others have written some very optimistic articles about how some players have talents and are improving, but the competitiveness of our team has changed. Now developing players is what is important at our AHL level; however, do we destroy the confidence of the whole team to develop one player or what is really going on behind the closed doors.

We are still in OK shape as far as standings are concerned, but we as fans watching can see that there is more going on behind the scenes with Stars Management decisions that are affecting what is happening on the ice in front of our eyes.

Questioning Stars Management decisions is uncomfortable for any reporter, but is anyone going to ask the tough questions that we as fans want to know more about? Can we please question the performance and stats of our under performing players?
