Among all the team's in the division, Texas drew the best chance at extending their winning streak to four games with a game today against the Stockton Heat. The Heat are the worst team in the division and lost 4 of their last 5 games. Their last contest was a good one though, as they knocked off the Ontario Reign 4-1 on the road. That win could give them confidence as they return home to play the streaking Stars. Stockton also has a 2-1 edge on the Stars so far in the season series.

The item to watch for Texas here is the net. With the density of games on this road trip, it is entirely possible that Philippe Desrosiers will play his first AHL game in the coming days. Unless Lagace returns to health, John Muse would be faced with playing games today, tomorrow and Tuesday. It's not impossible, but it's highly improbable. It's about halfway through the season, so it's a decent time to figure out what the Stars might have in Desrosiers for the rest of the year.
