Late Texas Surge Salvages a Point in Ontario OT Loss

There was no shortage of goal scoring in tonight's game in Ontario. Former teammates Maxime Lagace and Jack Campbell were each pierced five times through sixty minutes. It only took 56 seconds before Ontario ended it in the 3-on-3 overtime period.

The Stars started out on the back foot with two quick goals from the Reign. Matej Stransky answered back with his second of the year but the period ended at a 4-1 deficit for the visitors.

The Texas defense chipped in two goals to get it to a one-goal deficit for the Stars thanks to goals from Julius Honka and Andrew Bodnarchuk. Former Rookie of the Year Michael Mersch made it a two-goal lead for the Reign on the power play.

The third period was all Texas as Cole Ully and Travis Morin put in goals for the five-all tie. Morin's goal was his first of the season. Both were assisted by Andrew Bodnarchuk.

Maxime Lagace stopped 25 of 31 in the loss, dropping his save percentage to 0.892.
