Texas Closes Preseason with 3-1 Loss

The San Antonio Rampage topped the Texas Stars as both teams closed out their preseason action this afternoon in Cedar Park. The Rampage rode two power play goals to a 3-1 victory over the home squad. The lone goal for Texas came from Ludwig Bystrom.

Landon Bow took the loss for Texas, stopping 11 of 13 against him. Desrosiers took the net with 5:33 left in the second and stopped 5 of 6.

One of the brightest spots in the game and surely one that will be a bright spot all year was the play of Denis Gurianov. Early in the first, Texas was having trouble getting out of their own way but Gurianov's line generated the two best shifts of the period. He was on the ice for the Stars' only goal as well, collecting the primary assist.
