UPDATE: Julius Honka has been reassigned to Texas.

Sometimes it takes a while to see players who've been traded away back at their old home. Not so this week. Brendan Ranford and Brenden Troock return to Cedar Park tonight with their new club, Tucson. Joining them will be Chris Mueller, one-time Star who helped the club get to their Calder Cup win in 2014.

Ranford and Troock, wearing numbers 9 and 17 respectively, do not have any points yet with Tucson as the Roadrunners split last weekend's set with the Charlotte Checkers.

The Roadrunners are the team to beat if Texas wants to make it to the playoffs. Their current perch at .588 is where the Stars should be to make the playoffs. Of course, knocking down that mark would be another excellent outcome for this weekend's games. If Texas can win both, they would raise their percentage to .532 while lowering Tucson's to .560.

Expect Justin Peters in net tonight and basically every night from here on out.
