Stockton Beats Texas 5-1, Breaks Ten Game Losing Streak

The Texas Stars suffered what was arguably one of their worst losses of the season this evening in Stockton. This one was definitely one of those "should win" games. Facing a team with just three wins in 2017 and on a ten-game losing streak, Texas gave up three goals in the first period en route to a 5-1 loss. Justin Peters stopped 30 of 35 and dropped his record to an even 4-4 after a sparkling 4-1 start.

Cole Ully had the Stars' only goal. It was a late tally with the score already at 5-0. The Stars were perfect on the penalty kill, if you're looking for silver linings. However, they also gave up a shorthanded goal and were scoreless on the power play.

The road trip continues in San Diego tomorrow with Texas just one game above .500 and hovering barely at 5th place.
