Texas Stars 14-10-8-0, 36 pts #10 Western Conference | at | Charlotte Checkers 11-18-3-1, 26 pts #14 Western Conference |

Time Warner Cable Arena, Charlotte, NC
Texas has a chance to earn their first four game win streak of the year with a win against Charlotte today in North Carolina. The Stars haven't had a four game streak in the regular season since the eleven game stretch from March to April 2014.
Recent history between these two teams indicates that the Stars will be playing uphill to win today. Charlotte and Texas, being division mates but having some distance between them, are prone to playing back-to-back games. So far this season, in those back-to-backs, the Stars have won the first game of each series and lost the second. Those first games have been won by a score of 11-3 and the second games have been lost by a score of 6-2.
Julius Honka is back but won't play today. Jyrki Jokipakka might be in Charlotte but given how many defensemen are on the roster, he might be waiting for the team to return to the central time zone.
