Texas Stars Arena Music

Whenever you can't seem to place 'that one song' that you hear at the arena, hopefully you can find it here.

Using the thread "What's that song?" from the inaugural year Texas Stars forums as a starting point, this is a list of the songs that have been played at the Texas Stars games since the team started.

    Anyone know what that is?

  5. Are you talking about Crowd Chant by Joe Satriani?

    ReplyDelete
  6. I heard at almopst every game..."London Calling" by the Clash. (Never heard "I Fought the Law" a single time..maybe that was played earlier in the year.

  11. I know for sure they've played TOOL - Sober (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hglVqACd1C8).

I want to say they also played TOOL - Prison Sex, but I might be making it up? (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=F5sIXUbMgF0&feature=related)

Btw neither of these are family friendly.

    ReplyDelete
  12. Oh they were also playing the AC/DC - Hells Bells video during the playoffs.

    ReplyDelete
  13. Bleed American was a warmup song too.

    ReplyDelete
  14. All My Life by the Foo Fighters is played during warm-up...

    ReplyDelete
  15. Just heard another one... Green Day, Are We the Waiting. Another warmup song :)

    ReplyDelete
  16. They need to play "I want to drive a Zambonie" when the Zambonie's are out...

    ReplyDelete
  17. Hi anon,
They did play "I Wanna Drive The Zamboni" at times last year. Just not yet this year.

    ReplyDelete
  18. Howdy,

I was curious what the goal celebration music was for the Texas Stars?

    ReplyDelete
  19. Hi Joseph,
That's Bro Hymn by Pennywise. The segment they play starts around 55 seconds in this video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_n8TuSVmOrw
    Thanks, Stephen

  20. They've been playing "Kick in the Teeth" by Papa Roach during warmups lately.

    ReplyDelete
  21. Is there a list of songs for the pregame warmups? There is one song that I can't identify and Shazam doesn't match it up. It plays around the 7:30minutes left until gametime.

    Gary

    ReplyDelete
  22. Do you know any words to the song, Gary?

    ReplyDelete
  23. i'm trying to think of some....of course since you asked, i can't remember any :)

    ReplyDelete
  24. "right where you are...right where".....that's all i could remember from tonight

    ReplyDelete
  25. though i haven't been in a while, they do have a song by a local Austin metal band called Southern Front that was written specifically for the hockey team. they play that every once in a while close to the puck drop..

so if you hear a heavy riff and heavy vocals chanting "we are the stars".. that would be it.

    ReplyDelete
  26. yeah, this song is kinda slow and definitely not metal. we got some more words last night..

love, right where you left it...right where (?).....sounds like "stars come out at night" ....

    ReplyDelete
  27. wish that i could just find a list of all the songs that are played....i emailed the guy that I thought did the music, but never heard back....

    ReplyDelete
  28. Gary,
What about "New Found Glory - Right Where We Left Off"?

  29. That's not it Stephen but thanks. I'm trying to find the 'dj' who does the music and get a list of songs that are played. That would be easier to figure out that song.

    ReplyDelete
  30. Gary, the song is called Stars by Orange Avenue.

    ReplyDelete
  31. Thanks, anon! I've added the song to the list along with "Highway Patrol" by Junior Brown.
    -Stephen

    ReplyDelete
  32. Love the list, but I do have one correction. Bro Hymm by Pennywise is played when the Stars score, not during highlights. I'm Shipping Up To Boston is highlights.

    ReplyDelete
  33. That's true, anon. The list was started last year when that was the case.

    ReplyDelete
  34. Actually, my wife and I were commenting how much we miss the "goal song" from last year (I think it was Gary Glitter's Rock n' Roll, Part 2?) because it got the fans yelling GO STARS to the beat of the song...the song now doesn't get the fans involved. Any way to get it back? It's the same song they've played at the Dallas Stars games all these years too...thanks!

    1. I know you posted this over a year and a half ago, but I suspect the reason why this song isn't played is because Gary Glitter was convicted of possession of child pornography and child sexual abuse. As a survivor of child sexual abuse, I would be offended to hear this song being played at a sports event, knowing that the artist is a pedophile that preys on children.

    ReplyDelete
  39. what's the song they always play when the stars first come out onto the ice?

    ReplyDelete
  40. Stars play an edited version of "Burn It To The Ground" by Nickelback

    ReplyDelete
  41. Anyone know what the new puck drop song is? It is metal, and it sounds like they're saying, "Texas," and maybe, "Stars," at some points. I thought I found an "Unofficial Stars Anthem" by a local metal band, but it's not quite the same.

    1. Your close, it's a song recorded for The Stars by Southern Front. Keep your ears out for something new from them next season.

I have been dying to know what the intro song that the Stars play at the beginning of each period when the announcer says, "Stars fans, welcome back to the ice your Texas Stars." It has a great guitar rhythm and drum beat. That song rocks and any help identifying it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks
