Whenever you can't seem to place 'that one song' that you hear at the arena, hopefully you can find it here. 

Using the thread "What's that song?" from the inaugural year Texas Stars forums as a starting point, this is a list of the songs that have been played at the Texas Stars games since the team started.

    I heard at almopst every game..."London Calling" by the Clash. (Never heard "I Fought the Law" a single time..maybe that was played earlier in the year.

    though i haven't been in a while, they do have a song by a local Austin metal band called Southern Front that was written specifically for the hockey team. they play that every once in a while close to the puck drop..

    so if you hear a heavy riff and heavy vocals chanting "we are the stars".. that would be it.

    Actually, my wife and I were commenting how much we miss the "goal song" from last year (I think it was Gary Glitter's Rock n' Roll, Part 2?) because it got the fans yelling GO STARS to the beat of the song...the song now doesn't get the fans involved. Any way to get it back? It's the same song they've played at the Dallas Stars games all these years too...thanks!

      I know you posted this over a year and a half ago, but I suspect the reason why this song isn't played is because Gary Glitter was convicted of possession of child pornography and child sexual abuse. As a survivor of child sexual abuse, I would be offended to hear this song being played at a sports event, knowing that the artist is a pedophile that preys on children.

    Anyone know what the new puck drop song is? It is metal, and it sounds like they're saying, "Texas," and maybe, "Stars," at some points. I thought I found an "Unofficial Stars Anthem" by a local metal band, but it's not quite the same.

I have been dying to know what the intro song that the Stars play at the beginning of each period when the announcer says, "Stars fans, welcome back to the ice your Texas Stars." It has a great guitar rhythm and drum beat. That song rocks and any help identifying it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

    Some corrections/updates to the list, I am in the process of adding all of these to a giant playlist on Google Play (was the most convenient one for me). So far (having only completed down to the D's) I have found:


    AmokK by 666 (not 666 by AmokK)
    Maria (I Like it Loud) by Scooter (not Doop doop doop -- The Union/Flyer versions are just a snippet from this song, cant really find a snippet of a song on a music service so I put the real song)
    Nitrous by Dick Dale (not Dick Dale by Nitro)

    Once I complete the playlist, I'll publish it so anyone can use it

    What's the metal song they play at the beginning where they are chanting "Texas Stars". It sounds a lot like the Pantera "Puck Off" fight song for the Dallas Stars

      I am not sure if the song is published anywhere. It's been around for a few years. I believe it's a local group, but I never got any more information.
