D Tyler Ludwig, twin brother of Trevor, signed to ATO

The Stars signed some defensive help today with an amateur tryout contract to Tyler Ludwig. Ludwig is the son of former NHLer, Craig, and twin brother of current Stars blue liner, Trevor. According to the AHL transactions page, Tyler has not been assigned to Idaho and will wear #3 here in Austin. Here's the release.
The Texas Stars announced on Wednesday that defenseman Tyler Ludwig has been signed to an ATO (Amateur Tryout Agreement).

Ludwig turns pro after a four-year career at Western Michigan University. In four years with the Broncos, Ludwig scored 16 goals and dished out 54 assists for 70 points in 152 NCAA games. During his junior and senior seasons, the 6-foot-2, 205 pound defender led the Broncos in points by a defenseman. The Colleyville, TX native posted a +12 rating as a senior and finished his NCAA career a +5 overall. Ludwig is the twin brother of current Texas Stars defenseman Trevor Ludwig and the son of former NHLer and Dallas Stars defenseman Craig Ludwig.
