Texas Stars 42-24-3-4, 91 pts #2 West Division | at | Chicago Wolves 46-20-1-6, 99 pts #1 West Division |
March 28th at 3:00 PM
Allstate Arena, Rosemont, IL
As usual, an abbreviated gameday preview for a semi-back-to-back game. Since the Stars last saw the Chicago Wolves, both have played one game. Chicago shutout the IceHogs 3-0 in Rockford, and Texas squeaked by the Griffins 5-4 in a shootout.
Both teams have played a 3-in-3 this weekend, so they are on even turf there. However, Chicago was able to finish off their opponent in regulation on Saturday which may put the Stars top lines at a disadvantage for having to play the extra five minutes.
If the Stars can come out strong on the puck, shooting in on the Chicago tender, then Texas has a very real chance of sweeping this weekend's games. Today's game with Chicago is the last of the regular season. Texas is 3-3-1-0 against the Wolves on the year and would certainly like to get another statement win on this big roadtrip.
