Stars sign defenseman Tyler Ludwig

The brothers Ludwig will be patrolling the blue line this coming year for the Texas Stars as the club announced this afternoon that Tyler, twin brother of Trevor and son of NHLer Craig Ludwig, has signed to play with the team in 2010-11. Tyler saw relatively limited playtime in the 2009-10 season, but did play in four games, going scoreless. Here's your release:
The Texas Stars announced on Thursday that defenseman Tyler Ludwig has agreed to terms for the 2010-11 season.

Ludwig turned pro after a four-year career at Western Michigan University, joining the Stars for the final seven games of the regular season. Over his short AHL stint, Ludwig was scoreless with four penalty minutes. Prior to turning pro, he spent four years with Western Michigan University, scoring 16 goals and dishing out 54 assists for 70 points in 152 NCAA games. During his junior and senior seasons, the 6-foot-2, 205-pound defender led the Broncos in points by a defenseman. The Colleyville, TX native posted a +12 rating as a senior and finished his NCAA career a +5 overall. Ludwig is the twin brother of Texas Stars defenseman Trevor Ludwig and the son of former NHLer and Dallas Stars defenseman Craig Ludwig.
