The final game of the road trip has come for the Texas Stars as they face off against their closest geographic rival before returning home to the Cedar Park Center tomorrow. San Antonio is playing its first home game in the month of February, a stretch of nine games in all, due to the annual rodeo road trip. The Rampage went 4-5 on the road trip and comes into tonight's game on a three game losing streak.

San Antonio's radio voice, Dan Weiss, expounded on the problem yesterday on Twitter before the Rampage's loss to Oklahoma City:
Beaudoin, 0 goals last 11 games; Stone 0 points last 10, Goncharov 0 points last 9.
Mathieu Beaudoin had an assist in last night's game, getting him off the list, but the others remain pointless for at least the past month.

Additionally, callups and trades have rocked the roster a bit. Last week, Al Montoya was traded to the New York Islanders and is now starting in the NHL after being stuck behind Matt Climie in the AHL for most of the season. Joe Fallon has been recalled from Las Vegas as a result and was pressed into service off the bench last nighta after Climie allowed three goals in 26 minutes.

Mikkel Boedker, Andrew Ebbett, Brett MacLean and Nolan Yonkman are allh gone to Phoenix and the players who remain, according to the San Antonio media, are having trouble consistently generating offense.

The Stars have indeed had luck against the Rampage this season, going 5-1-0-1 in the season series. Both Texas goaltenders who have played against the Rampage, Bachman and Krahn, have sub 2.00 GAA and better than .930 SV%. The combination of last road game for Texas and first home game for San Antonio may change up the complexion of the game.

Stars injury/call up report:
Krahn, Morin, Larsen (lower body)
Vincour (call up)
