UPDATE: Antoine Roussel assigned today for Texas. Jaden Schwartz recalled by St. Louis.
Coming off two games in which they allowed four goals each, the Texas Stars have to get back to their groove. That groove would be low-scoring hockey.
Aiding in the cause will be the likely return of Richard Bachman to the Texas crease this evening. Dallas has stated that they will keep Nilstorp at least through the first three games, allowing Bachman to get a couple of starts in the AHL over the next few games. That would allow him to get back to game speed, given the lack of an NHL preseason schedule.
For Peoria, they are coming off a loss at Rockford last night by a score of 3-1. Prior to that, they were running off a three game win streak on their previous weekend three-in-three. Immediately prior to that, they had lost six of seven including a 5-2 loss at the Cedar Park Center on January 5th.
Texas, in fact, has a 3-0 record against the Rivs this season and play each other for the final time tonight. Looking for the season sweep, Texas could get a chance to see always-active Twitterer Mike McKenna in net.
