v.Iowa Wild

#14 Western Conference
December 6th at 7:30 PM
Cedar Park Center, Cedar Park, TX

The weather outside is frightful. Also, so is the health of the Dallas Stars defensive corps. While nothing has happened yet, the Texas Stars can probably expect to lose a defenseman after Trevor Daley was injured last night in Toronto. Cameron Gaunce seems like the most logical choice. Patrik Nemeth could also get the call. We'll see. They may not play at all.

Iowa has had a bit of a time since last playing the Stars. Since the Stars' first game against the Wild on Friday, November 1st, a win for Iowa, the Wild have lost nine of their twelve games. That includes a six game losing streak that completely coincided with a six game homestand. The run has seen them fall from the playoff bubble to the bottom of the barrel. Iowa is just two points ahead of Utica but does have a game in hand over Utica.

Thanks to that home losing streak, the Wild are actually 3-10 at home and 5-1 away from the Wells Fargo Center.

William Wrenn is skating in no-contact jersey this morning and looks to be the odd-man out on defense for now. Goalie Jack Campbell is expected to start. He has not played since October 23rd.

  1. I am glad to see Jack back. I hope that he is rested and eager to get back in the net. With it being $3 beer night you can bet me and section 103 will be heckling Iowa's goalie. Good luck and go Stars!
