When the usual suspects don't find the scoresheet, you need what they call 'depth scoring' to get it done. Last night, the Stars got some of that as Mike Hedden, Brendan Ranford and Jyrki Jokipakka all scored to push Texas past Iowa.

Luckily for Texas, they will get Travis Morin back in the lineup for sure tonight to work on that primary scoring. Dallas assigned the league leader in points yesterday afternoon, but he didn't make it to Cedar Park in time for the game. According to coach Lidster, he arrived around 8 PM last night. He will definitely slide into his spot between McKenzie and Sceviour on the top line. Desjardins is unlikely to separate the Glennie-Mueller-Ritchie line, so Dowling will likely slot in between Petersen and Hedden. That puts Ranford as the odd man out.

As for now, Texas doesn't have any new defensive callups to Dallas. With the NHL club playing two home games and not going on the road until next Thursday, there's not much reason to call someone up before today's game against Philadelphia in Dallas. After tonight, Texas does not play again until Friday. If there is a callup to be made, it will be made after tonight's game. It will allow that player to play with Texas tonight and also to get some time on the ice with Dallas over the coming days without missing anything in Cedar Park.

Expect Cristopher Nilstorp in net for Texas tonight.
