After getting into his first NHL game in four years last night in Los Angeles, Texas Stars captain Maxime Fortunus has been assigned to the AHL. Fortunus also tallied his first NHL point in the game, a 5-2 Dallas win. Fortunus was one of several on a patchwork blue line following injuries to Stephane Robidas, Trevor Daley and Sergei Gonchar.

Texas now features the following healthy blue liners: Maxime Fortunus, Hubert Labrie, Ryan Button, William Wrenn, Russ Sinkewich and Jamie Oleksiak. Patrik Nemeth is out following foot surgery last week. The second-year D-man had a stress fracture in his foot. Jyrki Jokipakka is also out with concussion-like symptoms after an elbow to the head courtesy of OKC's Kale Kessy.
