The Dallas Stars have assigned Travis Morin to the Texas Stars this afternoon. With Ryan Garbutt returning to the lineup tomorrow against Philadelphia, Dallas is send Morin down after seeing no game action in his short recall.
Morin did participate in morning skate in Dallas, which they could have held outside given the temperature and precipitation. He likely left immediately afterwards, putting him in Cedar Park with enough time to play tonight even with the weather how it is in Dallas.
Still no word from Dallas on calling up a defenseman to supplement their current six-man crew. Dallas plays Philadelphia at home tomorrow, so there really isn't a pressing need.
