Texas will finish off their weekend with a second contest against the same Charlotte Checkers as last night. The past few times the Stars have played back-to-backs, they've put up disappointing results. Notably, they dropped a 6-1 game in Charlotte just hours after beating the same club 7-1. Overall on the calendar year, Texas is 2-5-1-0 in second or third game of consecutive sets.
The team obviously knows about their struggles there. Coach Desjardins talked about it after last night's game:
"We've brought it up. We have a memory that it happened and we can't take anything for granted. it wasn't that we outplayed them tonight. Our goaltending was good and the chances were even. We can't walk away thinking we dominated. They could have won the game and we know that."He also added that Nilstorp was the likely starter.
