Colton Sceviour and Travis Morin came out on the winning side of tonight's AHL All-Star Game in St. John's. The AHL All-Stars defeated the visiting SHL club, Färjestad BK, by a score of 7-2.

Morin scored the AHL's fourth goal of the night on an excellent tip play in front of the net. Colton Sceviour picked up the second assist on that goal. It was the only scoresheet action for either on the night.

Mike Hoffamn, who is chasing Morin for the top spot in the league scoring race, took home the MVP honors with two goals and an assist. Brandon Pirri of the IceHogs also had two goals.

Dallas draft pick and likely future Texas Star Ludwig Byström tallied an assist. His point shot in the third period was tipped at the net by Rickard Wallin for Färjestad's second goal of the game.

The Stars resume action on Saturday in Hamilton. Morin and Sceviour will head directly to Ontario without returning to the Austin area, meeting the team for Saturday's game.
