With the Dallas Stars a little banged up heading into back-to-back games, Chris Mueller has been recalled to the NHL this afternoon. Texas will slide Derek Hulak into the lineup in San Antonio for his first AHL action. That is certainly an interesting first game. Hulak will wear number 40 for Texas, only the second Star to wear that number. Mathieu Tousignant was the other.

Here's the release:
The Texas Stars, proud American Hockey League affiliate of the Dallas Stars, announced today that Dallas has recalled center Chris Mueller from loan to Texas.

Mueller, 28, leads Texas with 14 power play goals this season and ranks fourth overall in point scoring with 54 points (24 goals, 30 assists) in 59 games played in the AHL. The native of West Seneca, New York has posted seven shots in eight games for Dallas this season. The 5-foot-11, 210-pound forward was signed by Dallas as a free agent on July 8, 2013.

  1. So are we going to get any natural right wings? We only have 2 at the moment.
Also, do you think Glennie could be the C to replace Mueller, Vause could fill in for Glennie as a RW, and Hulak or Henderson could fill the 4th line RW spot?
