The Texas Stars have cut seven players from their training camp roster following this weekend's preseason games. They are forwards Jason Bast, Colton Beck, James Livingston, Wade MacLeod and Steve Quailer, along with defensemen Randy Cure and Charlie Dodero.

This leave 29 players on the roster. Some of the players still remaining in Texas who could be assigned to Idaho include goaltenders Henrik Kiviaho and Maxime Lagace. At defense, Mike Dalhuisen and Troy Vance are still on roster. Dalhuisen played big minutes with Julius Honka on Friday. Forward Jesse Root is also still in camp. Coach Laxdal indicated there is a battle going on for a roster spot between Gemel Smith and Ludwig Karlsson. The loser will head to Idaho.
