The Texas Stars announced their final 23 man roster for opening night on Saturday. The final position battle was for the 14th forward spot between Ludwig Karlsson and Gemel Smith. The rookie Smith won the matchup and will stay in Cedar Park for the time being. Karlsson was assigned to Idaho yesterday.

Don't read too much into the alternate captains listed on this roster. The team will likely rotate As among several players. These are just the two they chose for the opening night.

Comments

  1. Read somewhere that Julius Honka would be wearing #7 during the regular season and not #30.
