Center Travis Morin and goalie Jussi Rynnas have been assigned to the Texas Stars. With injury to Sergei Gonchar holding him out and Brenden Dillon still unsigned, it looks like these could be the last assignments for a while.

After a tense 24 hours for Stars' fans, Travis Morin cleared waivers this morning. Jussi Rynnas also had to pass through waivers but did so earlier in the week. The reigning AHL MVP, Morin, is expected to be a centerpiece of the team again this season. He will also be likely to get more callups to Dallas as the last forward assignment. He is likely to absorb the veteran callup games previously given to Chris Mueller and Dustin Jeffrey last year.

Jussi Rynnas is looking to backup Jack Campbell after losing the battle for the backup gig in Dallas.

  1. Does the assignment of Rynnas mean Lehtonen will be healthy enough to play next Thursday's game?
Oleksiak being up in Dallas takes out one more Defenseman from the puzzle for Texas. Hope he can stay for a while.
