The Texas Stars announced today that they have recalled Philippe Desrosiers from the ECHL's Idaho Steelheads. After Maxime Lagace left the game late last night with an injury, it was apparently a recall would be needed. What was an open question was who would get the call. Jack Campbell was just sent down and Philippe Desrosiers has been in Idaho all season. If the Stars wanted to send a message to Campbell, the smart money was on a Desrosiers recall.

Texas wanted to send a message.

Desrosiers got the call and Jack Campbell will start tonight for the Idaho Steelheads. He will likely be backed up by an emergency backup. Idaho, unfortunately, traded away their third goalie just after the Campbell assignment.

Here's the release:
The Texas Stars, American Hockey League affiliate of the NHL’s Dallas Stars, announced today rookie goaltender Philippe Desrosiers has been recalled from the team’s ECHL affiliate, the Idaho Steelheads.

Desrosiers (deh-ROH-see-ay), 20, is currently in his first professional season after beginning the year in training camp with the Texas Stars. The 6-foot-1, 190-pound native of Saint-Hyacinthe, Quebec has won five of his last six appearances at the ECHL level and overall has played in 20 games this season for Idaho with an 8-6-3 record, a 2.46 goals against average and a .907 save percentage.

Desrosiers was a second-round pick by the Dallas Stars (54th overall) in 2013.
