Texas Quick on the Rebound with 4-2 Win Over Bakersfield

Texas bounced back easily this evening in Bakersfield, taking their record against the Condors to a still-perfect 5-0. The 4-2 victory was again fueled by the depth of the Stars' forward corps with Matej Stransky and Jason Dickinson scoring on the power play and Remi Elie collecting the eventual game winner.

Philippe Desrosiers earned the win, stopping 31 of 33 in his first game action in two weeks. The win brought his record to even, 5-5, on the year.

The Condors would open the scoring early in the first, but the Stars had an even attack that saw them score in each period. Texas added two in the final frame despite only five shots on net.

The Stars were perfect on the PK at 4-for-4 and 2-for-5 on the power play. Texas continues to improve on special teams. The power play ranks in the top 5 in the league at 20.9% and the penalty kill has rebounded to 80.2%, built mostly on their road efficiency.

Texas has a long layoff now before welcoming the Ontario Reign for the last time. Two games in Cedar Park await them on Friday and Saturday.
