According to the ECHL transactions page, the Texas Stars have added forward Kevin King to their roster. Following five years in the WHL, King played a few games with AHL Syracuse and ECHL Greenville before heading to the collegiate ranks in Canada for four years.
King was one of the top scorers for the University of Calgary Dinos, who played their final game of the season on February 27th. Calgary lost to Derek Hulak's alma mater, University of Saskatchewan, in the Canada West playoffs. King wore the "C" in Calgary his final two years there.
King would be a welcome addition, as Texas is down to 12 healthy forwards as they hit the road for California this weekend. King was signed by Greenville just yesterday but had not yet played a game.
It is unclear if King's contract is an ATO or PTO. The Texas Stars have not confirmed the addition at this time.
