Texas Takes Single Point in Rockford Shootout Loss

Texas dug a hole in the first and second period but managed a point with a three-goal third period. It was Texas' first game decided in the shootout this season. Texas finishes its Midwest swing with three of six points after the 5-4 loss.

Cole Ully returned from injury and had a goal in the contest, the first of the three in the third. His power play tally combined with goals from Brandon DeFazio and Andrew Bodnarchuk to get Texas back to even at four after 60 minutes. Denis Gurianov also collected his second AHL goal to open Texas's scoring account on the night.

Brendan Ranford was the only scorer in the shootout for Texas while the IceHogs managed two goals. Maxime Lagace stopped 28 of 32 in regulation and OT.
