Texas Stars 20-20-1-2, 43 pts, 0.500 #7 Pacific Division | v. | San Antonio Rampage 21-21-4-0, 46 pts, 0.500 #8 Pacific Division |
February 4th at 7:00 PM
H-E-B Center at Cedar Park, Cedar Park, TX
Texas will look to get their first win under the Peters regime at home this evening. Last night's effort in San Antonio was close but ultimately fell short. The team allowed 30 shots for the first time in 4 games, something that was helping to keep them in games despite poor goaltending. However, with a five game losing streak now on their hands, Texas is desperate.
Desperation is no better shown than in the standings. Texas is tied with once-lowly San Antonio and whoever gets more points tonight gets 7th place. If Texas can't earn at least a point, they'll fall below .500 for the first time since October 25th and only the second time in the last three years. Following the October 25th game that put them at 2-3, the Stars rattled off four straight wins to climb to 6-3.
